Adam Ali

ahmed-adam.ali@umontpellier.fr

Dr. Adam Ali est originaire de France. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat en Biologie, Ecologie et Evolution, obtenu l’Université de Montpellier 2 (2003). Ces travaux sont centrés sur la mise en évidence des changements environnementaux passés induits par les variations climatiques et les activités humaines. Ces recherches sont principalement fondées sur l’analyse à haute résolution spatiale et temporelle de macrorestes végétaux fossilisés dans divers gisements naturels (dépôts calcaires, tourbières et lacs). Il est actuellement chercheur postdoctoral au sein de Chaire industrielle en Aménagement forestier durable sous la direction de Yves Bergeron et Christopher Carcaillet (Professeur à Ecole Pratique de Hautes Etudes, France). Son travail de recherche est de caractériser le rôle potentiel des perturbations par le feu dans la fragmentation des populations d’arbres dans la forêt boréale (Abies balsamea, Picea glauca et Picea mariana).
